YOU CAN DIG IT! Cincinnati Riverfront Park

Hey...YOU CAN DIG IT! That's right! YOU!!

You are invited to take trowel in hand and break ground for the new 45-acre Cincinnati Riverfront Park, adjacent to The Banks development between Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ballpark!

Groundbreaking ceremonies will take place on Monday morning, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roebling Suspension Bridge (foot of Walnut Street). The event is FREE and open to the public. Guests (that means YOU!) will enjoy UDF ice-cream following the ceremonies.

Cincinnati Riverfront Park will re-connect downtown to the river edge. It will feature unique playgrounds, boat docks, expansive lawns, a carousel, floral gardens, a bike trail, walkways, tree groves, a river edge promenade, dramatic water features like cascades, fountains and waterfalls, and restaurants and cafes. The park will also feature works of art and will be designed to be universally accessible and sustainable.

Like all Cincinnati Parks, this park is being planned, designed and built for YOU! So take a moment and blog here about why YOU dig the new Cincinnati Riverfront Park! (By the way, you can visit the park's website at www.crpark.org; or visit our YouTube Channel at www.YouTube.com/CincinnatiParks.)

We hope to see you at the groundbreaking!

Congratulations on the groundbreaking! I'm betting that this gets done before "The Banks."

^The first phase of The Banks and the first phase of this park will be completed at the same time.

This park will be the crowning jewel for the Cincinnati Park System that is one of the best in the nation.
